BELMONT, N.C. – Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is celebrating Earth Day early with Earthfest, a family-friendly event that encourages and teaches guests to live a more sustainable lifestyle, on April 13 and 14, 2019. EarthFest activities will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

The weekend will be filled with educational and hands-on activities and crafts as well as a spring nature hike, earth-friendly vendors, lawn games, and more. Horse-drawn carriage rides from Southern Breezes Carriages will be available for $6 per adult or $4 per child (cash only). The Beer Garden will be open from 12 to 4:30 p.m. each day featuring live music at select times and a variety of food and beverage options will be available for purchase from The Garden Store and vendors. A rummage sale will also be held to allow guests to upcycle and recycle items from the Garden. Guests will find bargains on new & used supplies and merchandise from The Garden Store and operating departments including books, office supplies, garden supplies and more.

Admission to EarthFest is free with general Garden admission. Admission for Garden members is free, $14.95 for adults, $12.95 for seniors 60+, and $7.95 for children 2-12. For more information, visit www.DSBG.org. The Garden is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
