Sale of plants for pollinators and more during growing season

BELMONT, N.C. – Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden will host a Plant Sale on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests are invited to discover a selection of plants for their home gardens featuring many native plants perfect for the region, pollinators’ favorites for butterfly gardening, and more.

The sale will feature 100 varieties and over 1000 plants including several cultivars of hydrangea, winterberry, viburnum, dogwood, azalea, aster, phlox and many more. The Garden’s horticulture staff and Gaston County Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions and help shoppers make the best selections. Members receive 10% off all plant purchases. Non-members receive 10% off on plant purchases of $50 or more.


The Beer Garden will also be open from 12 to 4:30 p.m. each day (weather permitting) serving craft brews and wine, hosting a food truck each day, and featuring live music from 1 to 3 p.m. by Jade Moore on April 27 and Demperio Hertz on April 28.

Admission to the Plant Sale is included with general Garden admission and guests are also welcome to stroll through the Garden to enjoy the spring blooms. Admission for Garden members is free, $14.95 for adults, $12.95 for seniors 60+, and $7.95 for children 2-12. For more information, visit www.DSBG.org.

A member preview of the Plant Sale will be held on Friday, April 26 from 3 to 5 p.m. Garden Members are invited to join us for cookies and lemonade while browsing the plant selection. Members receive 10% off all plant purchases and can register in advance at www.DSBG.org.
