Propagation Essentials Workshop
1-2 p.m. | $30 (non-member pricing; members save 15%)
Roll up your sleeves and register to learn the Propagation Essentials!
Join us for this hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the fundamentals of plant propagation. This class will teach you essential techniques to successfully propagate plants, allowing you to take home your very own cutting from our Williamson Conservatory. We’ll be working with Ficus elastica, commonly known as the Rubber Tree, and exploring different propagation methods.
You’ll gain practical experience in propagating plants in both water and soil, using various rooting techniques. We’ll also cover the art of air layering: a method that encourages root growth while the cutting is still attached to the parent plant. We’ll discuss which plants are best suited for different propagation methods and how to increase your success rate at home.
