Bright Lights 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run

Ditch your normal turkey trot and run the night before Thanksgiving through the beautiful lights display at the Garden, then take it easy the next day, watch parades, football, indulge and enjoy family arguments!
Year one of Bright Lights was so fun, we’re bringing it back and we can’t wait to start a new family tradition with everyone!
5K participants will explore our entire property and will enjoy a multi surface race that includes asphalt, grass, trails, and garden pathways. New in 2024 we will be illuminating more trails and garden spaces than ever before to create an unforgettable experience. That last mile is a memorable one as you run through the garden and immerse yourself in seasonal garden displays, lights, and fountains.
Fun Run participants will get to enjoy the Garden lights display at a pace that is comfortable for them. A 1.25-mile jaunt through the garden is perfect for all ages and is a great multi-generational family experience!
After the race, participants can enjoy free entry to the garden to get a sneak peek at the lights before we open to the public.
Space is limited so be sure to sign up early as this race sold out in 2023!
Custom awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three male and female finishers 14 and under thru 60 and better in five-year age increments in the 5K.
Ages: 5K – No min or max; Fun Run – No min of max
Cost:
- 5K – $45, $55, $65
- 10K – $25, $30, $35
*Children 2 and under are free. All others wishing to get into the Holiday Lights sneak peek after party must register for the 5K or 1 Mile Fun Run.
*This is a multi-surface race and will take place on paved roads, grass fields, natural trails and garden pathways.
*Bright Lights 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is not a “stroller friendly” course but is doable with a running or hiking stroller (you’re definitely not setting a stroller PR for sure).

- Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions
- Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to “Acts of God”.
