Charlotte Metro! Join us for the ultimate Latin Jazz event! In fact, it’s a Salsa Jazz Party Saturday, August 5th, at 6pm featuring Gino Castillo & the Cuban Cowboys as they bring their Latin jazz flare to Jazz at the Garden!
From Quito, Ecuador, Gino Castillo has made a name for himself as the leader of Afro-Cuban Jazz and Salsa throughout the Southeast! He has performed and recorded with many national artists, such as Earl Klugh, Heracio el Negro Hernandez, and Jessy J. Gino has received multiple Jazz awards and along with being an incredible percussionist and singer, he is a talented composer and a dedicated educator. Gino Castillo & the Cuban Cowboys are known for their high-energy performances and are certain to keep you on your feet for this great show!
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to enjoy a great evening of live music on the beautiful Garden Grounds! Large coolers, tents, and umbrellas are not permitted. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. DSBG will have a bar open serving beer and wine. The Garden Store will have other drinks and snacks for purchase. Jazz at the Garden is a rain or shine event. If inclement weather, performance will be moved inside to the Great Hall.
